Would your child be interested in participating in the Sparrows Point Middle School interscholastic sports program for the 2025-26 school year?
Sparrows Point Middle School offers an interscholastic sports program. Tryouts are open to all eligible middle school students. The allied programs are designed for students who are interested in playing a sport, but do not necessarily possess the skill or desire to play on a varsity or junior varsity team. Allied sports are co-ed with appropriate rule modifications to ensure a safe and successful non-competitive experience for all students, regardless of ability.

September 14, 2026 Fall Athletics start date (Badminton, Cross-Country, Allied Soccer)
October 3, 2026 Fall Athletics play day
October 17, 2026 Fall Athletics play day
October 31, 2026 Fall Athletics culminating event
November 16/17, 2025 Winter Athletics start date (Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Cheerleading, Allied Bocce)
Basketball games will be played on Tuesdays/Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. There are approximately 10-12 games. (Dec - Feb)
March 9, 2026 Spring Athletics start date (Tennis, Track & Field, Allied Softball)
April 10, 2026 Spring Athletics play day
April 24, 2026 Spring Athletics play day
May 8, 2026 Spring Athletics culminating event

REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE
- BCPS Academic Eligibility Requirements
(2.0 with no more than one failing grade in the quarter)
-Completed physical examination signed by physician
-Completed online registration through FOCUS parent portal
Registration will open July 15th

3. Complete registration.
4. Please ensure you upload the front and back of your insurance card. (*Mandatory to be cleared.)
5. Please ensure you upload a completed physical form of the child participating in athletics and it is signed by a doctor. (*Mandatory to be cleared.)
